Winter is the time when cabin fever takes hold. With most states still on lockdown, folks are feeling more stir crazy than ever before. As we dream of brighter days ahead, here are five Austin amusement parks where you can stretch your legs and reconnect with your inner child.

Austin’s Park ‘N Pizza

Austin’s Park ‘N Pizza is open year-round, seven days a week. (Some attractions may only operate seasonally, however, and are subject to weather conditions.) The park features a variety of indoor and outdoor attractions such as mini-golf, go-karts, a carousel and batting cages.

Admission to enter the park is free, with combo passes available for the buffet and attractions. Active military members with valid ID qualify for a 10% discount on the All Park Pass. No outside food or drinks aside from birthday cakes are admitted inside the park.

Austin’s Park and Pizza is currently operating under recommended safety guidelines due to COVID-19 concerns. Face coverings and social distancing measures may be required to enter certain areas of the park. Reduced capacity limits are also being implemented. Cash is not accepted at this time: payments must be made with credit card. Sanitizing stations have been placed throughout the park for guest and employee use.

Crabtree Amusements

This family-owned park was founded in 1978 by Patrick Crabtree. It’s an Austin Texas amusement park geared towards children and teens, as well as adults searching for a more extreme thrill. Attractions include the Fireball, Raven and Arctic Blast. The park is open daily from 6-11pm, with admission prices ranging $25-$30.

Crabtree implements a special cashless system known as “Magic Money”. This electronic token system is stored on cards and wristbands, and is reloadable. 24 reload stations are available throughout the park, and tokens can be replenished via cash or credit card.

Face masks are currently mandatory on park property. The park follows CDC safety guidelines including deep-cleaning all surfaces, temperature checks at the gate, and enforcement of social distancing. Hand sanitizer is available at stations set up throughout the midway.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park

This indoor children’s gym has won a number of awards, including Shape Magazine’s “Best Gym in America for Kids”. Attractions including climbing walls, rope courses, performance-grade trampolines and an onsite café.

The park is open daily. Tickets range from $8.99 to $24.99 depending on level of access. The park also offers a special “spectator ticket” at no cost, for those not wishing to take part in the park’s attractions.

Jump Party USA

Jump Party USA is an indoor sports center tailored for hosting field trips and birthday parties. The park features trampolines and bungee jumping, as well as dedicated areas for activities such as ping pong, dodgeball, basketball and more. An arcade and karaoke area are also available.

Special events for groups, teens and families are hosted on designated nights each month. General admission ranges from $5.95 to $11.95, depending on age and the amount of time spent in the park.

Guests must sign a safety waiver prior to entering. Guests under 18 must be accompanied and signed for by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers can be signed online in advance, or printed and brought along on the day of your visit.

The park is open daily. No outside food or drink is permitted.

ZDT’s Amusement Park

This family-owned park was been in operation since 2007. ZDT’s covers 10 acres and features a total of 12 attractions, including an arcade and rock wall. Rides include a roller coaster and flight simulator. There are great opportunities for observers to capture the thrills with ZDT’s amusement park photos.

The park features three onsite eateries: Yelly’s Kitchen, Midway Outdoor Seating Area and The Water Park Pavillion. The latter two accept outside food and drink, but glass items are not permitted. Alcohol is not allowed on premise.

ZDT’s offers special event promotions for organizations such as churches, scout clubs, schools and sports teams. The park is open on weekends from 12-6pm, and single-day passes start at $22.99 per person. Seasonal passes and special offers are also available throughout the year.

Masks are currently required for all guests ages 10 and up. The only exceptions are when eating and drinking, or when on a water attraction. The park is currently operating at no more than 75% capacity.
