Austin Motorsports Get the Greenlight for 2021

Located conveniently in the heart of downtown Austin, Circuit of the Americas is the nation’s #1 destination for racing and motorsports entertainment. Boasting a capacity of 120,000 spectators, the venue spans 1,500 acres and features a state-of-the-art 3.41 mile racetrack guaranteed to deliver high-octane thrills.

COTA is home to America’s only Formula 1/MotoGP events, and has played host to events such as ESPN’s X Games, the Pirelli World Challenge, and the FIA Endurance Championship.

As our return to normalcy unfolds, these three major racing events are returning to Austin for 2021.

Blancpain GT World Challenge

Blancpain GT World Challenge is North America’s top production car-based series, taking place annually around the end of April. The event spans three full days with unparalleled access to more than 100 top production cars. In-between races, spectators can get up close and personal with the cars in the special access paddock, for Q&As with the drivers and their teams.

Formula 1 United States Grand Prix

Formula 1 United States Grand Prix is the premier series in the world of motorsports, providing world-class racing and live entertainment that takes place each fall at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas. This year’s event is set to take place Thursday, October 21st through Sunday, October 24th, accompanied by musical performances from the likes of Twenty One Pilots and Billy Joel. Tickets begin at around $35 a person, with special admission bundles available for the races and live music.

MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas

MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix celebrates Austin’s motorcycle legacy, showcasing motorcycle racers on the world-class cutting edge facility at Circuit of the Americas. The event lineup consists of Moto2, Moto3 and MotoAmerica, creating three full days of motorcycle racing action with some of the greatest riders on earth. This year’s Grand Prix is currently scheduled for fall of 2021, with exact dates TBA. Those interested in attending may secure their place in line for seats with the payment of a deposit, as attendance may be limited.
