Austin for Antique Collectors

Austin is a city steeped in rich and storied history, so it comes as little surprise that the capital boasts many antique outlets to browse and explore. Read on to discover Austin’s best shops for avid antique collectors.

Uncommon Objects

Described as “Your eccentric uncle’s attic on steroids,” Uncommon Objects was established in 1991 by owner Steve Winman, along with business partner Ed Gage. The business expanded over time, from a small shop housing a mere five dealers to a large complex showcasing 25 antique vendors and their wares.

The shop is host to a monthly event known as The Uncommon Flea, held on the last Sunday of each month from 10 AM to 3 PM. The store’s backyard is transformed into a bustling marketplace for not only antiques but local crafts and goods.

Uncommon Objects is located at 1602 Fortview Road in Austin. The store is open seven days a week, 10 AM to 6 PM.
