Desert Door Distillery

America’s only sotor distillery, Desert Door produces this uniquely Mexican type of drink. The distillery offers afternoon tours available on weekends, and the chance to sample their products in a cozy environment.

Garrison Brothers Distillery

Garrison Brothers Distillery is the oldest distillery in the state of Texas, producing Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey with organic, locally grown winter wheat. Garrison Brothers also uses its own corn, along with rainwater collected and purified on site. Tours known as “Sit and Sips” are held weekly from Wednesday to Sunday, and last for one hour.

Treaty Oak Distilling

Treaty Oak produces a number of spirits including gin and bourbon, and sits on a 28-acre, state-of-the-art ranch. Tours are available Saturday nights and include tastings. A gourmet restaurant is also located on the premises.

Dripping Springs Vodka and Gin

This distillery is known mostly for its traditional methods of producing vodka and gin. The spirits are produced in handmade copper pot stills. Dripping Springs is a small family business, operated by two brothers. The distillery uses pure spring water purified on site. Tours are available Thursday through Saturday, including the best Dripping Springs mixed tour, tastings and complementary souvenir shot glasses.

Still Austin Whiskey Co

Still Austin Whiskey Co, one of the distilleries near Austin, was the first distillery to open following the age of prohibition. Located in The Yard, it has a simple, down-to-earth production process. Everything is done in-house, from mashing to barreling to bottling. One of the established distillers Austin it offers a tour that takes around 30 minutes, complete with a tasting of the whiskey in both straight and cocktail forms.

Deep Eddy Vodka

Another distillery based at Dipping Springs, this venue covers a sprawling 30,000 square feet and includes a fun, retro-style tasting room. Selections are mostly based on fruit, including cranberry, peach, and ruby red grapefruit. The distillery features a beautiful outdoor patio, perfect for taking photos and enjoying a sunny day.

Revolution Spirits

This distillery is smaller and more experimental than others on our list, focusing mostly on American-style Austin Reserve gin. The distillery also produces the Cafecito, blended with cuvee coffee. Revolution’s tour offers a tasting room, available Thursday to Sunday. Tours of the facility must be scheduled in advance.
