Celebrate Music, Fine Wine and Good Food at Austin’s Blended Festival 2021

One could easily argue that Austin’s trio of specialties like in music, cuisine, and the know-how to throw a great festival. Fittingly named, the Blended Festival will bring it all together this coming weekend, September 10th-11th.

Held at the sprawling Long Center Lawn at Auditorium Shores, the festival will be situated conveniently in the heart of downtown Austin, adjacent to some of the city’s best attractions. From top-notch hotels, restaurants and shops, festival attendees can explore the pleasures of famous Austin spots such as Congress Street, South Lamar, Sixth Street and Zilker park: all within easy walking distance from the festival grounds.

This is, of course, if you can find the time to spare. Blended Festival features a jam-packed program with something to offer for everyone. For $149, a two-day general admission pass grants visitors access to two wine tastings, the Welcome Village filled with selfie activations and art displays, a culinary stage featuring demonstrations from world-class chefs, full bars featuring craft beers, wines and specialty cocktails, a food truck parade showcasing the best of Austin’s culinary scene, and more. $2 from each ticket sold will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, so guests can unwind while helping to support a great cause.

Festival Executive Sommelier Matthew-Loren Lindsey expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, elaborating specifically on his goal to bring world-class wine to the forefront of this year’s festival.

“It’s time to make wine accessible to the younger generation. I’m here to tell you that wine is the perfect drink for a music festival. I dream of standing in the crowd for Kaskade and, instead of seeing hundreds of hands waving cheap beer cans, it’s glasses of Sauvignon Blanc.”

Blended Festival’s musical lineup is sure to pair well with any refreshing drink, celebrating the close of the summer season with performances by the likes of Kaskade, Blanco Brown, DJ Shift, Kaitlyn Delay, Kid Conrad and more.
